THE TWO-CHAIN MODEL / 04
Precision and power.
On both sides.
A person does not have one generic chain on the right and another on the left. Neuromotion identifies an Inner Precision Chain and an Outer Power Chain on each side—and asks how their sequencing creates control.
THE CORRECTION
Blue is Precision.
Orange is Power.
The colors identify functions, not body sides. Either the left or right side can emphasize precision or power depending on the task and its current role.
INNER GRIP
The Precision Chain
Direction. Timing. Touch. Error correction.
At the hand, the model emphasizes the thumb, index, middle-finger region and median-nerve contribution to refined grip behavior. Across the body, Inner Grip names the micro-adjustments that tune contact, trajectory, and force.
Neuromotion’s larger claim—that these functions form a continuous body-wide precision chain—is a functional hypothesis, not a standard anatomical label.
- Fine force modulation
- Tactile discrimination
- Sequential control
- Directional accuracy
OUTER GRIP
The Power Chain
Protection. Bracing. Force. Containment.
At the hand, the model emphasizes ring-and-little-finger support, intrinsic stability, and ulnar-nerve contribution. Across the body, Outer Grip names the broader structures that absorb load, preserve shape, and deliver force.
As with the Precision Chain, its proposed full-body continuity belongs to the Neuromotion model and must be operationalized through anatomy, EMG, force, and motion studies.
- Structural stability
- Force absorption
- Rotational support
- Macro-control
ENERGY CONTAINMENT
Control is what happens between the chains.
“Energy” here means neural output, muscular force, timing, and coordination—not a mystical substance. On a practiced side, precision and power are sequenced unconsciously. NST teaches the less-practiced side to organize that relationship deliberately.
THE DYNAMIC BALANCE RULE
When precision leads here,
power supports there.
The nervous system coordinates different demands across the body rather than duplicating one maximal action everywhere. Neuromotion proposes a trainable alternation:
LEFT PRECISION ↔ RIGHT POWERLEFT POWER ↔ RIGHT PRECISIONMovement is the conversation between hemispheres.
